WHOO HOOO!!!

Well, I just recieved a much anticipated phone call!! The bid that we place on a house was accepted!! We are so excited to being on our way to being home owners again. For those of you who don't know, we sold our home in Allen Park last summer and moved out to Canton. We moved so quickly that we didn't have time to look for a house, so we moved into an apt. The apartment is actually bigger than our house was. It is a great apt. with a nice pool and really nice features, but it there is just something about owning your own home! The house is in the city of Dearborn in a great neighborhood with great schools. The elementary school is w/i walking distance and is supossed to be one of the best schools in the city. The house is located only two blocks away from the downtown area, where Ryan works!! It is one block over from the historical district as well. They also call it the "Ford District" because Henry Ford had all the homes built for his top employee's. So, many of the homes are over 100 years old. Our's is not, but the home next to ours is 103 years old!! Ours is a major fixer upper, though. Our first home was a fixer upper as well and we remodled almost the entire thing and we were able to sell it at a great profit. We enjoyed the process so much that we decided to do it again. I love being able to pick out everything for my house! I can't tell you how many times we've been to IKEA these past few weeks in anticipation of this! Anyway, here are some pictures of the house. Don't be too worried, in a few months I will be posting more pictures and you wont even be able to tell it was the same house!!!

This is from the back of the house. You can tell it is in bad shape by the boarded up windows! Yikes!
This is the veiw from the street. Not glamorous, but you just wait! It will be soon!

Crazy Hair

Gavin wanted me to put some mousse in his hair the other day. So of course i obliged and this was the outcome! We ended up cutting his hair later that day. I didn't realized that it had gotten so long. I really like it long, but it just makes him so hot! Anyway, I just thought that these pictures were funny!

Mommy's Little Helper

On Friday night we had a big community dinner at church and I brought some veggie pizza. Gavin loves to help me out, so I gave him a spoon and let him go for it. He had a great time eating it!! He went right into the bath after this!!

Impossible Pictures

It is getting to be almost impossible to take pictures of this little guy. The older he gets, the faster he gets! He wont sit still for a minute. These pictures are from the park a few weeks ago. They aren't great pictures, but they are the best i could do. Oh, and as a side note, dont worry, we are NOT celtics fans or Paul Peirce fans in any way. That jersy was a gift and we were going to be seeing the giver of it that day. I'll have to get him a Pistons jersy to balance the boy out!

To Romp, or not to Romp?

I think that rompers can be cute, but Ryan hates them. He will not let Gavin leave the house in a romper!! I admit, when a three year old wears one, they aren't that cute. But Gavin is only 19 months. Ryan does not like them at all. He thinks it makes Gavin look like a baby.
My response: HE IS A BABY. These pictures are from awhile ago. Ryan was at work and Gavin and I went for a walk and to the clubhouse for cookies ( our daily ritual ). Anyway, let me know what you think . . . to romp, or not to romp!

Wedding Bells

Well, it has been over a month since Kyle and Laura got married. I guess I should share some pictures. I actaully forgot my camera that day. I know, I know . . . how could I? Well, in my defense, it was a very busy day! I left my house at 8:30 a.m. and didnt get home until late that night. I was too busy making sure that I had everything packed for Gavin for the day and I overlooked that one tiny detail. So, I had to wait to get pictures from everyone else. So, anyway, here they are. The wedding was absolutely beautiful. Laura did an excelent jog of planning everything. I made a video slide show for the reception and things got a little hairy when the system at the hall was malfunctioning. But, we figured it all out (with no help from the maintenace guy, he knew nothing about technology) and things got rolling. I think that most ppl. liked the video and I know that Laura and Kyle loved it, so that is really all that matters . . .
Anyway, the whole day went well and we had a good time. So, here are the pictures (all two of them).

Rainy Day

Rain, rain, go away come again some other day.
Gavin loves to be outside and he gets so sad when it is raining. But he sure does love to run through the puddles the next day!! I just love this picture of him though. It is so cute.

25

I turned 25 on Sunday. I have been on this earth for a quater of a century. That is a long time. It feels good to be 25 though. It is suposedly my prime. I am not one of those people who dreads getting older, I actually enjoy it. Every year takes me closer and closer to 30 ~ which, to me, is the perfect age. Practically all my life I have longed to be an adult, be married and have a family. It is great to be living that out now. Although, I do not really feel like an adult. I am hoping that by the time I am 30, I will. When I look back at what I thought my life would be at 25 I wouldnt exactly have thought it would be like it is. I knew I would be married and probably have a child, but as far as "pastor's wife", I never would have dreamed that one up in a million years!!! I just thank the Lord for His perfect will and for bringing me from where I was to where I needed to be. I am a living breathing example of God's grace. I am thankful that I dont have to live in "regret mode" all the time and I can know that Christ paid the price for my sins and I can live in the knowledge of that. I am free, my debt has been paid in full.

My Heavenly Father, You have blessed me beyond measure and more than I ever deserved. Thank you for being faithful to me, when I have, at times, been so unfaithful to you. Thank you for your perfect and Holy word that you have given to me so that I may know you and learn from you. Thank you for blessing me with the people around me and for using them to show me your willl and ways. Thank you, for giving me these 25 years and help me to take whatever time I have left on this earth and to pour myself into You. I love you, Lord.
