To Romp, or not to Romp?

I think that rompers can be cute, but Ryan hates them. He will not let Gavin leave the house in a romper!! I admit, when a three year old wears one, they aren't that cute. But Gavin is only 19 months. Ryan does not like them at all. He thinks it makes Gavin look like a baby.
My response: HE IS A BABY. These pictures are from awhile ago. Ryan was at work and Gavin and I went for a walk and to the clubhouse for cookies ( our daily ritual ). Anyway, let me know what you think . . . to romp, or not to romp!

I'll admit I did put Grant in rompers all the time. It really stopped just before he turned 2 I think? Basically it looked funny to me after he got to a "bigger boy" look. But whatever suits your fancy!!!! He's still a cute little boy even in a romper:)

I think he can still wear them. But, if Ryan says no. . . that's another story!

Pooter,

HA! Bet you havent heard that in a long time! Anyway, my vote is for the romper....up until AT LEAST 2. You know, when he can potty by himself. It would be hard for him to snap all those buttons!!! :-) Missed ya! Cant wait to "see" you again!

yeah, i love those things. connor wears them all the time. and i have some really nice looking ones (as you know, some are just downright hiddeous.) i buy the ones that look like nathan's golf shirts. children's place had them for $2 at great lakes the other week. i think 2 years sounds like a good age to pack them up. i HATE when i'm in nursery and some potty training kid has one of those on.

(and btw, POOTER!....how did i not know THAT? did you ever hear those horrible stories from my childhood?)

Oh please, tell Ryan to just stop. Gavin is gorgeous in his orange rompster. :) Anyways, I know I said I was back and then I disappeared again! Sorry!!! The internet stopped working one day and then we've just been gone the last couple of days, but this weekend should be better! I will email you my address, although Nicole should have it since she lives with one of my best friends who sends me mail all the time...

That little darlin' can wear whatever he wants to - - - cuz he's just plain adorable in whatever he has on! Here's a hoot - true story (that shows my age!) - when my sister Karen got married, the brochure from the tux place offered JUMP SUITS to rent. TOTALLY 70's and early 80's! You probably don't even know what a jump suit is - - - it's basically a romper for MEN! Tell Ryan Auntie B said it's cool for Gavin until he can go on his own - - -and tell him I also said to be grateful Laura and Kyle didn't put him in a JUMPSUIT!!!!! :)

thanks for all of your input of the rompers! I think their fine, but for now, Gavin will just be romping around the house in them!! Oh well . . .
Christina ~ Yes, I have heard some of your horrible childhood stories and never felt the need to share my own. But I have them, and they are just as bad.
Annie ~ thanks a lot for outing me on the "pooter". seriously, not cool.
Aunti B ~ I actually do know what a jumpsuit is, well I think I know. But all I am picturing is Elvis in a white sparkly one. Am i on the right track?
I now have a horrible vision of Ryan in a giant romper!!! Sick!

Hey nothing wrong with that outfit. Trenton still wears them every now and then, and he is the same age as Gavin. So it must be right! I didnt even know what a Romper was until i read this. I didnt know you could learn so much from a blog

I say yay for the romper and poopoo to Ryan. :) Though Luke doesn't have any. He is 2 though, but no where near going potty himself.
